THE
EYE WITHIN is a non
profit- making organization of ART. Since its inception in
1996, we have dedicated ourselves fully to the promotion
of contemporary Indian art and artists.
‘The
Golden Brush’ is an award ceremony, first of its kind in
India
, for the young painters of our country. For the first
time in
India
, we, ‘The Eye Within’, have taken attempt to
establish a recognized platform for the young talents of
art.
The
official press launch of GOLDEN BRUSH 2007 was held in the
evening of 20th October, Friday. The venue was
“PALLADIAN LOUNGE”, at The
Bengal
Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Cocktail with short-eats
was served.
Gracious
personalities were present in the Press-meet to heighten
the glory and success of the evening. Mr. Samaresh
Majumdar, the president of The Eye Within, Mr. Goutam Das,
the secretary of The Eye Within, Mr.Sunando Sen, Convenor
of Golden Brush 2007, eminent painters like Sunil Das,
Eleena Banik and many more were present.
As
the show started rolling, Mr. Goutam Das gave an
elaborative speech on the event, its procedures, the
stages of selection, the jury board and the award
ceremony.
Sunil
Das, a long-term friend of ours, spoke eloquently about
our attempt that is the first of its kind, not only in
India, but also across the globe.
Mr.
Sunando Sen, the convenor of ‘Golden Brush 2007’ said
that he was confident about the success of the event.
