Unlike cinema, photography and other visual media there are no awards for painting that is given away with fanfare and gala celebration. Yet paintings are sold at phenomenal prices and painters are revered as celebrities. The art market is expanding very fast. It is for this reason ‘The Eye Within?has envisaged a prize giving ceremony which will be both aesthetically rewarding, artistic and glamorous.

Each year a few awards will be given away in glamorous celebration and as an affair to remember.  

This year the program will be held in the ballroom of Oberoi Grands, Kolkata on 15th March 2006.

‘Golden Brush?will be an award given to a work by an artist which has been considered the best for that year.
