BRUSH
2006 : An award wining ceremony by ?b>The Eye Within?
celebrated on 15 March 2006 at the Ballroom of Oberoi Grand
Hotel. Basically it was a talent hunt contest that occurred
among hundreds of upcoming painter. The selected first ten were Sudipta
Karmakar, Kajal Mandal, Anirban Mitra, Arya Chandra Chowdhury,
Ms. Payel Sarkar, Prasun Dutta, Durbananda Jana, Ananta Mandal,
Sanjoy Patra and Sanjoy Das. Within ten, four were selected
as Silver Brush winner whereas the Golden Brush was
awarded to Sudipta Karmakar.
Runner
up was Kajal Mandal.
Honorable
Union Minister Mr. Priyo Ranjan Dasmunshi presided
over the occasion. As the organization secretary Mr. Goutam
Das delivered eloquent speech about the motto of the
ceremony. Eminent film personality Ranjit mullick handed
over the plaque and certificate to the Golden Brush winner
Sudipta Karmakar. The value of the prize was Rs-/1Lakhs, which
was donated by distinguished Artist Mr.Sunil Das. And all
the prizes depicted by the name of Artist Prohllad Karmakar,
father of eminent artist Prokash Karmakar.
